I’ve always loved the idea of making zines but until now have never actually taken the time to make one. This is partially due to my inherent laziness and the fact that I’m always really busy working on all kinds of different stuff.
I know a zine is supposed to be a quick thing you can throw together and print but I come from the publishing world and am incapable of not spending lots of time on print materials making sure they’re exactly what I want. Also, I’ve had trouble figuring out what I want to make about.
Recently I was asked to come to the local high school and give a presentation to the advanced art classes about being a working artist and found out I had a lot of opinions, which is kinda what zines are all about.
I tried to encapsulate a lot of the ideas I was talking about that day and add some writings from other artists I know to make some kind of art instruction series.

I intended it to be a series and then the world shut down and no one wanted to touch anything left at the coffee shop.
Maybe I’ll get back to it later.
