I found this figurine at the thrift store for a couple bucks and decide to give him a makeover. It was a resin cast made for sale at Rite Aid drug stores. I was kinda amazed that anyone would look at it and think owning it would be a good idea.
I cut off some pieces and then got to work with a bit of paper clay so I could do some subtle and not so subtle sculpting. Since it dries so fast, I was able to start painting some of the resin parts while the clay dried.
It cracked me up the whole time I was working on it. Mostly because the changes from the original worked so well, but also the idea that Darth Vader was technically a government worker who would have been planning how to keep busy during retirement.
