My 2018 Political Campaign

I was driving around my town and everywhere I went there were political signs. That’s fine. It’s a democracy, and that is what democracy looks like every other November. My big problem is that the look of the signs was pretty much the same as any time in the last 30 years. So I made my own sign, for a position that didn’t even exist, just to let people know that their election designs were played out.

I sent it to a vinyl printing place along with 50 American dollars and they sent me a banner.

I hung it around town and on Election Day people texted me to let me know they wrote me in as a city council member. Fortunately I didn’t win. I hate meetings.

UPDATE:

I entered this banner into an art show at my work and they said it was too political. I explained that it was not real and they said they understood. I asked, “So, this is actually a craft show? Maybe you guys should change the name. “
